The mBox is the first release from the ingame hardware and software developer Mirconoft. The mBox is the first release in a line of four mBox consoles. It is superseded by the mBox 360, mBox One, and the mBox Next. The mBox is a direct competitor to the Playsystem 2 by Vonny. The mBox's real-life equivalent is the Xbox by Microsoft.
The mBox has a reasonable marketshare, however, it is not as succesful as the major Playsystem 2.
