First of all, this wiki page is awesome and really helped me with the game.
I noticed that the suggested slider bar positions are not optimal for certain genres in order to get a good T/D ratio. For example, the slider positions suggested for Action would yield a T/D of 1.14 (assuming your employee's T and D are relatively equal), which is not nearly close enough to the "ideal" 1.8.
I've come up with a set of slider positions that yields a better T/D ratio. These numbers are all percentages of the bar at the bottom, NOT slider positions. Format is: "Engine/Gameplay/StoryQuest//Dialogues/LevelDesign/AI//WorldDesign/Graphics/Sound"
Action: 70/20/10//10/20/70//10/70/20
Adventure: 10/40/50//80/10/10//50/20/30
RPG: 10/40/50//50/40/10//50/40/10
Simulation: 70/20/10//10/20/70//10/70/20
Strategy: 70/20/10//10/20/70//20/60/20
Casual: 10/80/10//35/55/10//10/20/70
These should give a much closer to ideal T/D ratio than the ones suggested in this page (and I've tested them out and it's worked out very well). This works on Medium games, but you can't always use it on Large or AAA games and get "Good Management" because some of the percentages are too high for a single person. The following numbers work better for AAA games (but note that Action and Simulation games will NOT yield a good T/D if you have a balanced team, and Strategy will only barely yield a good one):
Action: 50/40/10//10/40/50//10/50/40
Adventure: 10/40/50//50/40/10//50/20/30
RPG: 10/40/50//50/40/10//50/40/10
Simulation: 50/40/10//10/40/50//10/50/40
Strategy: 50/40/10//10/40/50//25/50/25
Casual: 15/50/35//35/50/15//30/20/50
